A cozy movie night!
This was one of the most pleasant commissions I’ve ever done since I got to draw my favorite girls from Life is Strange – Max and Chloe!!
The idea was a cozy movie night, the two of them watching Blade Runner as referenced in the game. I wanted to capture that airy soft glow and texture that encompasses the game and I’m really happy with how it turned out. This was such a fun drawing to work on, and I’m really glad I was able to push myself a bit out of my comfort zone by drawing two characters in an environment and also trying to capture the “feel” of Life is Strange.
In retrospect, the game is incredibly far from perfect, but even so, it has and still is one of my all-time favorites. There’s just something about it that I will always love. <3 Max and Chloe being one of them and the beautiful art style of the graphics. It’s something I’ve always appreciated about Life is Strange – they don’t push for ultra realism, instead focusing on capturing a specific mood through watercolor textures, cozy atmospheres, and warm lighting.
